Quickbooks Online will not Export Data using Windows 10 Edge - SOLVED
Client was having a problem exporting data from her online Quickbooks account.
After login in and choosing to export the data from the tools menu, QB will give a pop up error that only Microsoft Windows Explorer can be used.
After searching a number of websites, so suggested that the ActiveX Control needed to be updated or possibly the same for the Microsoft web browser. Neither fixed the error.
We also attempted to change the control settings for ActiveX to enable plugins. This also failed to fix the error.
We tried exporting the data through Firefox. Failed.
The solution was to search in Windows 10 for Explorer to bring up the older version of the browser. We then right clicked on the icon and ran Explorer as an Administrator, even though we were logged in as such.
The client was able to then export their Quickbooks data without issue.
